Below are the answers to some of the more common questions we get asked about the My School Office system. If you have any other questions which aren’t answered here please do not hesitate to contact us.

Is there a minimum quantity of texts to purchase?

No, you can purchase as little as 1 credit. As with most things though the price per credit does drop for larger quantities.

Do text credits expire?

No, text credits will stay in your account until they have been used.

Does sending emails use credits?

No, sending emails is effectively free.

Who can I send a message to?

Text messages can be sent to any UK mobile number, emails can be sent to any valid email address.

Are there any setup charges?

No, it is completely free to create an account and you will get 20 free credits to start you off.

Is there a contract that commits me to staying with you?

No, you are free to use your account as long as you like and can close your account at any time without any further charges.

Will I be alerted when I am running low on text credits?

The number of credits left in your account is shown at the top of every page. If you try to send a message but do not have enough credits remaining you will be alerted when you try to send the message.

Is there a limit on how many contacts I can add?

No, you can add as many contacts as you like.

Are credit costs subject to VAT?

Yes, text credits are subject to VAT at 20% and this is included in the price.

Can I see a history of messages I have sent?

Yes, all messages are stored in your message history which you can view at any time. Within the details of each message you can see a list of who the message was sent to and whether the message was sent successfully or not.
